Just wonder how many people buy used CDs when new ones are available, just for saving's sake?

Only from trusted sellers.

Various different music based forums will have their own classified section for selling audio gear and music on media.

Some forums will require the sellers to rate the media condition which gives a level of confidence that when buying used media that it's in the condition stated.

I've had absolutely no issues buying used CDs or vinyl LPs this way.

Straight off of ebay or used via Amazon sellers? Meh.....

All the time. I don't buy classical that often though. Really I don't know enough about the different conductors and recordings to know a difference, so I usually just purchase based on the piece of music. Unless I read about a certain version and want that one in particular, which I will buy new if necessary.

So I bought some CDs from ebay described as "brand new", but turned out they are obviously used, then the seller use shrink wrap to pretend they were never opened, but anyone could tell they are used from the condition of the box and the CDs themselves.
