I agree that they're really not even in the same league. One can't really sing, the other doesn't "dance" but likes to prance and pose. We know which is which. Mariah has appeal when she's not "trying" to be sexy, and Janet's more likable when she's not trying to be so soft-spoken. (Which is really never for both of them). Best video for Janet- I Get So Lonely. Mariah- Breakdown.

Janet can sing. Her voice has always been soft. That is her style.
