There's lots of music DVD's out now ...my favorite is Jimi Hendrix "Live at Woodstock" (the 2 DVD set released in 2005)

The first DVD is pro footage of almost Jimi's entire Woodstock set

The second DVD is amateur b/w video shot by a fan, Albert Goodman

Jimi was on fire that day ....very good versions of his classic tunes

Highlights include, a very good version of Voodoo Child , where ironically Jimi says to the audience "you can leave if you want ...this is nothing but a jam" ...he then goes into a spectacular version of the Star Spangled Banner

My personal fav tune of the set is "Villanova Junction" , it's sublime, Jimi was the master, beautiful tone

I have other music DVDs and videos including:

Jimi Plays Berkeley
Hendrix Band of Gypsys
Hendrix (1973 documentary)
Hendrix ...Wild Blue Angel
Cat Stevens: Majikat
The Who "The Kids Are Alright"
The Who "Live at the Isle of Wight"
The Band....The Last Waltz
Led Zeppelin ....DVD
Led Zeppelin ...The Song Remains the Same
Black Sabbath ..."Never Say Die"
Black Sabbath ....Paris 1970
Black Sabbath ...The Black Sabbath Story
Cream .....Royal Albert Hall November 26, 1968
Elvis ....On Tour 1972
Elvis ....That's the Way It Is
Elvis ....'68 Comeback Special
Elvis.....Aloha from Hawaii
Beatles ...Live in Tokyo 1966 (bootleg)
Beatles ...Shea Stadium 1965 (bootleg)
Beatles ....Unauthorized
AC/DC ....Live in Paris 1979
Roy Orbison ....Live
Pink Floyd at Pompeii
The Doors ...Dance on Fire
The Doors ....The Doors Are Open

And a number of compilations:

Let It Rock Vol 1 & 2 (videos from Germany's Beat Club TV show)
Swinging Sixties /So you Wanna Be a Rock 'n Roll Star (more Beat Club)

My current favorite is:

The Pixies: Live Acoustic at Newport Folk Festival 2005 (or '06 - can't remember).

Tied with: The Pixies Live in London 1988. It's a high-quality bootleg of them opening for Throwing Muses.

I forgot a couple of good ones ....

Rolling Stones "Rock 'n Roll Circus 1968"

and John Lennon Plastic Ono Band : "Sweet Toronto 1969"

(the infamous Toronto Rock 'n Roll Revival Festival
Sept 13th 1969 ....on one tune Yoko screams for about 30 minutes while
John Lennon's and Eric Clapton's guitars feedback !! you've got to see it to believe it

Alice Cooper was also at the same gig ...and has now become legendary
for the "chicken incident" ...someone in the audience threw a live chicken on stage
and Alice threw it back thinking it would fly away but instead it was literally
ripped apart
