Default Singers That You Sometimes Confuse With Other Singers

I have to admit that if you asked me right now who sings In Your Eyes from 1986 I would answer either Steve Winwood or Peter Gabriel. I know most of their works are very distinguishable but, in the 80s, I was confused by them a few times. I could also add Eminence Front. Somehow, for the longest time I thought; Whoa, Steve, but of course, it was Pete Townshend and The Who. I sometimes still think this one got mislabeled along the way.

In the 60s I would have sworn that Black Is Black was done by Gene Pitney. After all he was still around. And no, it wasn't him - it was Los Bravos. I used to get Tom Jones mixed up with with Engelbert Humperdinck all the time too. I was a kid then, so cut me some deserved slack on the 60s stuff. I'm prepared to take my lumps on the others, though.

So... Who, if anyone, have you gotten confused about at times?

Wait! You mean it's not Gene Pitney??? Let me digest that shock first and then I might think of some others!

Well...I always wondered if anyone had seen Carly Simon and Linda Ronstadt in the same room.

Funnier still...when I was a kid, I thought that the radio stations had the bands playing LIVE in the studio, instead of playing records! How silly is that?

Actually, at one time, they did just that.

Neil Young has one of those unforgettable voices in rock. Yet I swear when America's A Horse With No Name came out I swear he was singing it.
