Which one, Brian Johnson or Bon Scott?

For me, there's two that spring to mind: Paula Abdul, and the frontman for Clap Your Hands Say Yeah. Like nails on chalkboard, both of them.

Michael Bolton's-mainly because of the way he acted towards a fan on an old Oprah show.

Tom Waits

His voice was once described as sounding "like it was soaked in a vat of bourbon, left hanging in the smokehouse for a few months, and then taken outside and run over with a car." I'd say that's about right.

I love Tom Waits both as a singer and as actor. Saw him at Washington DC's famous The Cellar Door during the 70's. He was taking a break between sets sitting at the very tiny bar that occupied a stairway, which was also the way to the restrooms where I was going. I stopped to tell him how much I liked his music and he was appreciative. I asked him who his musical influences were and in his well known growl he said, "Wah'l, the people I like are either dead or not feeling very well."

I cant stand Gwen Stefani, cause she tries to sound like a whiney little girl even though she is almost 40, and Akon, the sound and tone of his voice make me want to barf, cant explain it.

My girlfriend and I don't like Mariah Carey. Singing is not about seeing how HIGH your voice can go...and she doesn't do it on a "word", as she does on a "syllable" like "tra la la" or "Doot"...if you know what I mean.

She also doesn't like Allison Krauss...thinks she's high pitched too.

I can't stand the vocals of any of the emo bands that the kids listen to these days. I can't believe I just said "the kids". I've turned old. I will single out Fall Out Boy in particular. Terrible vocals.

Britney Spears
Steve Grimmett of Grim Reaper (I can see why Beavis and Butthead were making fun of the singer)
Blaze Bayley of Iron Maiden (thank goodness he only appeared on 2 Iron Maiden albums)
Macy Gray
Aaron Carter
the singer of Sixpence None the Richer
Michael Bolton
Russell Hitchcock of Air Supply
Dennis Deyong of Styx
