I couldn't agree more. I especially can't stand the "screamo" bands like Atreyu who use generic screamy vocals mixed with generic emo vocals. What a total insult of the classic metal and hardcore bands that influenced these kids. If I ever have a kid who listens to Fallout Boy, that kid will be grounded for a month.

Heh. And I agree. Screeching and screaming don't do much for me; I have to deal with that enough at work. And then there are the singers whose voices are so weak -- or just plain bad -- that they have to be backed by at least 10 other people. What's the point?

LOL without thinking I was going to write CHARO...LOL Although I don't consider her a singer, her voice is very disturbing when she talks. But I do believe she IS a singer, so YES... CHARO~

Yeah, screamo is pretty terrible. Ditto on the kid. My wife listens to those emo bands (I can't really ground her) and she always tries to drag me to shows. She hasn't succeeded yet.
