As they used to say on American Bandstand when rating music:

(While chewing gum madly) "I can't understand the words and the beat makes it impossible to dance to. I give it a 3."

By the way, saying simply 'it sucks' makes you devoid of any credibility.
I see a bandwagon fan, root for whoever is good at the time. It does suck plain and simple! There is no creativity and the lyrics are horrendous. If you can find me an example of a good rap song then I'll consider it music. Until then it's nothing more then trash!

You cant spell Crap without rap!!!!!!!

I love it how people like to compare one medium of music to another.

Simply put: You can't

Rap isn't Rock.

Rap isn't Folk.

Rap isn't Jazz.

Rap isn't Blues.

Rap isn't Country.

Rap isn't Classical.

Rap is what it is.

Just because one doesn't like it, that doesn't give one the right to trash an enire genre.

Personally, I prefer the 80's to late 90's style of Hip-hop. I feel this is when hip-hop was at it best. That doesn't mean I don't care for some of today's artist; some are really good. Just becauseI don't care for Country Music, I wouldn't make a bold statement saying the this particular genre isn't music!

I think a comment like that is mixed with arrogance and ignorance.

It's my opinion you don't have to agree with it. In my opinion rap is not music! Rap is rap and I hate it!

Congratulations. Seriously, congrats.

I try to live by a creed that tells me to do my best and to not rate my own worth on what others think. I'm not always successful at that. If what you do is legal and hurts no one then loving what you do and doing it well are its own rewards.

I don't care for rap but it should not bother you what others think.

Not to get off track but do you think signing your posts this way make your comments more valid?

Yeah this decade has ushered in some of the worst music I've ever heard in my life, in all genres, but especially rap.

Your opinion is just that. However, when you pass your opinion on as a fact, you doing a disservice to yourself.

I though I was the only one who felt that way.

To me, this is hip hop at its finest:
