It seems that Metallica reserved the 4th spot of their albums for the album's biggest hit.

Of the 4 great metallica 4th tracks that start off slow and gradually get harder and harder, which is your favorite?

Fade to Black, though I also like Sanitarium and One, ranking second and third. I do not like the black album, though, so I'd rather hear nothing at all than Unforgiven. BTW, why wasn't Jump in the Fire included in the poll? That's a good tune!

Jump in the Fire is a great track on the Kill Em All album, but it is not along the same lines as the other tunes. Its more on the hard and fast side throughout the entire track.

Unforgiven 2 was not included because that country song is just terrible.

^^^ I guess they are not as popular as I thought. At least not on CD anyway.

I like both Unforgiven I&II as my favorite 4th tracks from Metallica. Somebody mentioned Jump in the Fire, which is a great track 4. It's one of my favorite all-around Metallica songs. Although I can't stand Dave Mustaine, he's earned his due for his influence on Kill 'Em All. Most of the best tracks from that album he's responsible for.
