I think there are a few of them, but the one that always comes to mind is "He stopped loving her today" by George Jones. You have to have heard the song to appreciate it.

There are so many great ones to choose from. With Elvis and the Beatles, there are a few dozen songs to choose from,I'm sure. My personal favorite is "Cherish" by the Association, from the summer of '66.
