Hi! I have a Yamaha Portable Grand Keyboard and an issue with the sustain pedal input. No matter what sustain pedal is plugged in, the keyboard will not sustain anything. I am wondering what a possible explanation for this may be? Any help is appreciated!

This is a long shot, but maybe it has to be plugged in before the keyboard is powered up?

Another thought is that maybe the sustain pedel cable is bad...

Last thought is that maybe it needs a Portable Grand sustain pedal. Maybe it's wired differently (tip/ring/sleeve vs. tip/sleeve connector)?

There might be a switch on the bottom of the pedal, it re-verses the asking.
