Bought this album over the weekend and have gotten to listen through it a couple times now. I was a little wary of it at first because I loved X&Y so much, but after giving Viva La Vida some time I really like it. It's a little on the short side, but packs some quality in there. I especially like some of the two-part songs, like Lovers in Japan/Reign of Love, and Yes. Has anyone else bought/heard this album yet? What are your opinions?

i've been meaning to listen to it for some time now, but I've yet to hear it. THe only song I've heard is their single "Violet Hill" and i really liked that song, so I'm excited to hear the rest.

Was watching NBC's The Today show this morning. Apparently Coldplay is going to have a miniconcert out in the NBC plaza friday morning. They televise the concert in the last 15 to 20 minutes of the show.

I haven't heard the entire album, but I did buy the song "Viva La Vida". It's now the most listened to song in my iTunes collection.

I heard them play on the Daily Show last night. They're ok I guess. I love the songs, Green Eyes and Clocks, but I just don't "get" all the hubbub. Other than Chris Martin, the other guys just stand there like statues and honestly, Martin's falsetto gets too gimmicky after awhile and I got tired of looking up his nose because he ***** his head back when he sings when not playing an instrument. Ok, so I'm a big fat grump this morning. And what's with all the rags tied onto him? I know he's all "free trade" this and that, but seriously, he looks tattered. After their performance, Martin was a very sweet lad ... shy.
