T Graham Brown sang this on a Delbert cruise...not a dry eye in the house.
Wine into Water
you've heard a multitude of prayers on my behalf
I pray one more is not too much to ask
I've tried to fight this battle by myself
but it's a war that I can't win without your help
tonight I'm as low as any man can go
I'm down and I can't fall much further
once upon a time you turned the water into wine
now I'm on my knees and turning to you Father
could you help me turn the wine back into water?
so many times I've hurt the ones I love
I've pushed them to the edge of giving up
they've stood by me but how much can they stand
if I don't put this bottle in your hands
I shook my fist at Heaven for all the hell that I've been through
now I'm begging for forgiveness and a miracle from you
cuz tonight I'm as low as any man can go
I'm down & I can't fall much further
Once upon a time you turned the water into wine
Now I'm on my knees and turning to you Father
could you help me turn this wine back into water?

Decoration Day, by the Drive-By Truckers... one more
was in my head today.
It's Decoration Day
I've a mind to roll a stone on his grave
But what would he say?
"Keepin' me down boy, won't keep me away".
It's Decoration Day
And I knew the Hill boys who put him away,
But my daddy wasn't afraid.
He said we'd fight 'til the last Lawson's last livin' day.
I never knew how it all got started,
A problem with Holland before we were born
I don't know the name of the boy we tied down
and beat 'til he just couldn't walk anymore
But I know the caliber in daddy's chest
I know what Holland Hill drives
The state let him go, but I guess it was best
'Cause nobody needs all us Lawsons alive.
....
It's Decoration Day
and I've got a family in Mobile Bay,
and they've never seen my daddy's grave.
But that don't bother me, it ain't marked, anyway.
'Cause I've got dead brothers in Lauderdale, south.
And I've got dead brothers in East Tennessee
My daddy got shot right in front of his house
He had no one to fall on but me.
It's Decoration Day.
I've got a mind to go spit on his grave.
If I was a Hill, I'da put him away
and I'd fight 'til the last Lawson's last living day.
I'd fight 'til the last Lawson's last living day.

Watched the taillights fading, there ain't a dry eye in the house
They're laughing and singing
Started dancing and drinking as I left town
Gonna find my way to heaven, `cause I did my time in hell
I wasn't looking too good but I was feeling real well

A ten year old girl on a street corner
Sticking needles in her arm
She died in the dirt of an alleyway
Her mother said she had no chance, no chance!
Heart breaker, heart breaker
She stuck the pins right in her heart
Heart breaker, a pain maker
Stole the love right out of you heart

Hello, baby, mm-hmm
Ah, yeah, you know we ain't, we ain't talkin' alone
Who's listening? Well I don't really know
But you better tell the SIS to keep out of sight
'Cause I know they takin' pictures on the ultraviolet light
Yes, uh huh, yeah, but these days it's all secrecy; no privacy
Shoot first, that' s right... they know you
Bye bye.
Right now somebody is.... listening to...... you
Keeping their eyes peeled...... on you!
Mmm, mmm, what a price, what a price to pay
All right. Good night, sleep tight

All the young men they've been rounded up
Sent to camps back in the jungle
People whisper, people double-talk. Once proud fathers act so humble.
All the young girls they have got the blues
They're heading on back to Center 42.
Undercover, all out of sight, undercover of the night.

There's a man.. who leads...
a life of danger...
To everyone he meets...
he stays a stranger...
With every move he makes...
another chance... he takes...
They've given you a number...
and taken away your name
Beware... of pretty faces...
that you find...
A pretty face can hide...
an evil mind...
Ah be careful... what you say...
Or you'll give... yourself... away...
....They've given you a number...
and taken away... your name...
....Swingin' on the Riviera.... one day...
and then layin'... in the Bombay...
alley the next...
Oh no... you let the wrong... word...
slip...
while kissing... persuasive... lips...
....They've given... you... a number...
and taken... away... your name...

He was my lover he was working undercover ...
The fellow knew all of the moves.
He really had me romping bare footing stomping ...
He just kept igniting my fuse.
He was blinded by the blackness of my long silk stockings ...
He would rock me with an optical illusion
And this ain’t how I thought it’d be.
He just kept on keeping me in a state of total confusion ..
He was an undercover agent for the blues.

Sitting on a barstool, acting like a durn fool
That's what I'm a-doing today
Sitting here drinking, trying to keep from thinking
I'm boozing my troubles away
I couldn't make her stay, well, doggone her anyway
She can't say that I didn't try-y-y
Pour me another one, I'm finished with the other one
I'm drinking my baby goodbye.
