Haven`t been for a few years and was tempted this time around. But decided to stay in the comfort of my own hammock and take advantage of the great coverage on BBC,,
I have always heard how cool that can be to go to Glasto. You talk about big, it is supermarket big, and not just music big. All forms of entertainment are involved in this yearly jam bash! I would love to go to one just one time to experience it. Then whomp the collector shops like Beanos in London, Plastic Factory in Birmingham, and Vinyl Solution! Then there are the record/cd fairs-YESSS!!!!!!
Rock on, Linc!
Wow, the Kings of Leon have hit the big time.
Love em BWP!! I bought their first album and was hooked..They`ve always done well here. They played Glastonbury back in 03, same year as the album...Jimmy Cliff was pretty good last night too,,
Love Jimmy. I saw him perform way back in the early 80's (along with Peter Tosh, rest his soul).
I had no idea the Kings of Leon had already been well-received at Glastonbury, good for them.
Stackridge play the acoustic stage tomorrow and I can`t wait...BBC be warned, you better give them some coverage!! They have the distinction of playing the first AND last note of the first Glasto fest back in 1970...

Jimmy Cliff???? He was a standard in my home. Mum and dad got really pissed with me when I ditched school once to go see him in "The Harder They Come". Funny I can't remember much of the movie all these years later, except for the scene when he's slashing some dudes face saying "DON'T **** WITH I"

Never been, but promised my niece who turns 18 next year that we'll both go. I've had my fair share of back packing, hitch hiking, sleazy motels, hotels, barns, rinky dinky boats, tavernas, campers and places I wouldn't allow my dogs to go anywhere near. It's 5 star (or no less than 3 star when I have to) these days. Besides I've never been attracted to most of the acts, but notice the line up has been changing over the years.
Low spot? Sorry Amy...For me the only way her rendition of "Cupid" could have been worse would have been if she had included some form of animal participation BBC - Glastonbury 2008 - Amy Winehouse
Thanks Linc. I am blasting the house with this right now. (I have the cd in my car, too.) What on earth did Jack do to his hair?
btw
Looks like it was a beautiful day there.
