Steve Winwood (Traffic) is touring these days, I think it's with Tom Petty. Dave Mason used to be in Traffic, too, I saw he and Winwood both years ago, but I have no idea what Mason is up to these days.
I always loved the band Spirit. Their career was stormy; I once had tickets to see them but the show was canceled. And Randy California drowned ten years ago.
I noticed their song "I've Got A Line On You" was playing in the background to the trailer to the new Coen Brothers movie.

These were great bands... don't hear much about 'em and it seems few even know some of them.
I've only heard of Dave Mason and The Little River Band. The LRB was great! I have their greatest hits CD and just about every song on there is excellent!
My understanding is that the original members of LRB are still touring but as Birtles, Shorrock and Goble because the guy that toured with them in the States took the name Little River Band and was awarded ownership of the name after a long court case. You don't hear much about the guy that was awarded the rights to use the name but the original boys are constantly touring here in Australia and often on TV too.
I'll see if I can find a link because I'm not 100% on the details.
The three original members of the Little River Band have lost their court battle to use the band name for their upcoming re-union.
US based guitarist Stephen Housden, retains ownership the name LRB & Little River Band.
Arthur Lee and Love are part of an interesting corner of 60s California music history. I didnt know of Love until I heard a piece of "Orange Skies" on NPR - probably on Nick Spitzer's show - and it made my hair stand on end. The blandest pop-single lyrics set to dark minor-key music - yeah! Then I ran across a live version of "Good Times" and fell in love. A shame Arthur Lee isn't here to enjoy the revival of interest in Love. A uniquely talented, lonely-seeming artist.
Good topic! I do remember them all. I guess I would be most familiar with Traffic, though. Steve Winwood seems to have had the most prolific career - from backing many blues legends touring England in the mid 60s to being in some great bands. (The Spencer Davis Group, Traffic and Blind Faith which became Ginger Baker's Air Force for a while) He was a mainstay in MTV's early days.
