Before i got into rock music when i was about 8 or 9 i remember my sisters and i always played ''Love Roller Coaster'' on the Jukebox at the resteraunt at the Bowling Alley my dad bowled at in the early 70's.
By the way was the background scream in the song (1.27 sec) really a women being killed when they taped this song as was always the rumor.
I love Rock N Roll- Joan Jett- the pizzaria had this on the jukebox and we thought we were so cool when we played this while using the pinball machines cause they served BEER to the Bikers! (just motorcycle enthusiasts, but they had tatoos so we were in awe! Teenagers, go figure!)
For me it is anything by the Village People or KC and the Sunshine Band.Oh and Love Will Keep Us Together by The Captain and Tennile since that was the very first 45 I ever owned when I was about five or six.
Some of the songs I remember as a kid. That's Amore-Dean Martin, Sugartime-McGuire Sisters, Mack The Knife-Bobby Darin, Crying In The Chapel-Orioles, Come Go With Me-Del Vikings, Catch a Falling Star-Perry Como, Quarter to Three-Frank Sinatra(my mom's favorite song), The Three Bells-Browns, Mr. Blue-Fleetwoods, Stardust-Nat King Cole, High Hopes-Frank Sinatra, That Sunday That Summer-Nat King Cole, Take the "A" Train-Duke Ellington, Wayward Wind-Gogi Grant, Singin' The Blues-Guy Mitchell, Volare-Dean Martin, Twelveth Of Never-Johnny Mathis, Beyond The Sea-Bobby Darin are some of my mom's favorite tunes.
We must be about the same age. I remember my mom singing all those songs to my brother and I. Any Nat King Cole song I instantly get teary eyed.
