What do you guys think of the new Metallica album. The couple of songs that I've heard definitely sound pretty good. They kinda went back to the roots, a little harder edge, I heard they ditched Bob Rock and went with Rick Rubin producing. He's a definite improvement. Bob Rock's stuff was too commercial.

I listened to their new song that is the first single off the album "The day that never comes". Wasn't bad. There were a bunch of other snippets of songs but I didn't get to listen to them yet. You can definitely see Rubin's influence in the song. Much more stripped down and back to basics. I just can't wait to see them. North American tour is this winter.

Haven't heard the new single yet, but they will be on my list of concerts to attend this year. I've heard that they put on a great show.

They put on an excellent live show. Sound exactly like you think they should sound and play for 2+ hrs. I have never been disappointed.

I have heard one of the new songs on the radio a couple of times, not sure what the title is. I knew it was them before they anounced it on the radio, which means it can only be good

I've heard like 2/3 of the album so far and it sounds good to me. You can go on their website and listen to the first 6 songs for free.
