Nirvana...overrated or what? (hard rock, Metallica, 1980s, genres)

I wouldnt say Nirvana is overrated, but I WILL say that Kurt Cobain was and is overrated. The more I hear Foo Fighters music, the more I am apt to believe that Dave Grohl was the genius behind Nirvana and NOT Cobain.

But they set the stage sadly for most of the garbage you see in the last 2 decades.
thank god the 80's hair bands (except a few) refused to follow suit to this.
perhaps for good reason.
They changed the course of music much like Elvis and the Beatles.
Excepe that elvis and the beatles change music for the better at the time, Nirvana changed it for the worse and because of them, music has truly become stagnant for the past 20 years.
