I had a Three Dog Night album which included enormous playing cards with pics of band members. Super!

What about you? Posters? You name it, we want to know!!

I seem to remember that an ELO album had a giant poster inside. I was pretty young so I do not remember the name of the album for sure. It was a double album and had kind of a UFO picture on it.

I remember Cheech and Chong's ''Big Bambu'' album with actual Rolling Papers in it as they could do that back in the 70's.

I love the album insert artwork on Untitled by Korn. It's so dark and moody and yet the detail is almost beautful in a twisted kind of way. It conjurs up so many emotions.

Out of the Blue had a cardboard cut-out of the space station inserted. This is one of my favorites. Great songs.

I still have my Sgt Pepper "cut outs" than came with the original vinyl album

That's one of the things I have always liked about the old vinyl 12 inchers
some albums would come with elaborate packaging ...posters ...booklets
I tried to keep most of them

Dark Side of the Moon album came with posters and stickers ...all kinds of goodies (and music on the record wasn't bad either)

Some of the more rare extras are worth $$ today....

Original copies of Alice Cooper's School's Out album included panties

I have Cooper's Muscle of Love ...the cover of which is literally a cardboard box

I used to have an original copy of Billion Dollar Babies LP ..it came with fake money ...an oversized billion dollar bank note

I have an original copy of Alice Cooper's Killer album (released Nov 1971)
It has a cardboard fold out 1972 calendar with a picture of Alice
hanging himself
Needless to say it was very controversial at the time and was quickly deleted by Warner Brothers records

I have a friend who is a huge Cooper fan and has an original copy of their debut album "Pretties For You" (April 1969 on Straight records)
It has the "uncensored" cover ...a cartoon like painting with a man looking at a girl lifting her skirt showing her painties ...when it switched to Warner Brothers records (circa 1971) a white blotch was put over the offending part

Mine wasn't so exciting. It was to me though. Melanie's Good Book album came with what else? A good book. It was a blue bible like book with about 20 pages about her life and her music. I had such a crush on Melanie and that book was always with me. I still love her music today some 38 years later.

Todd Rundgren's A Wizard/A True Star album came with a post card that you could mail back to him. On his next album all the people who responded had their names printed out in a poster that resembled the cover image on that album. (Todd - 1974) I was lazy though, so my name wasn't immortalized.

Ya it was one HUGE paper! Probably worth something today to the right collector.

There are SO many! Among my favorites are the Beatles White album withe the huge poster and the four color shots of the band. Actually the Elvis Presley Collectors have been celebrating this for four decades PLUS! Many of Elvis's LP's have color photographs that go back to the early 60's and are very collectible with hard core Elvis collectors.
