The Leader of the Band, by Dan Fogelberg...about his late father that was a high school bandleader. Always leaves me with a lump in the throat.
Taxi and Cat's in the Cradle, by Harry Chapin...no one lyricized with such poignancy.

Hoppípolla (followed by Með Blóðnasir) by Sigur Rós always gets me going. They're happy tears though, not sad.

Wind Beneath My Wings by Bette Midler b/c it was me & my mom's song. I literally cannot listen to this b/c I can't handle the rush of emotions.

Ready, Set, Don't Go by Billy Ray Cyrus & Miley Cyrus - it makes me so sad thinking about my babies. They're getting older and branching out and discovering the world. Not sure if I love it or hate it w/ all my heart.

From A Distance - by Bette Midler - makes me think about the troops over in Iraq and Afghanistan and wish they were home safe instead.

I Hope You Dance by LeeAnn Womack. It's so beautiful for my daughters.

The theme from Brian's Song. I know that's a very old reference but I get choked up everytime. Of course, I'm one of those people who tear up at anything sentimental I see or hear but Brian's Song came to mind first even though the movie is almost 40 years old.
