Oh man, another great ten. I actually listen online to a Colorado-based station - 99.5 the Mountain. Great mix and a reminder of how FM radio used to be!
If I want to hear anything by the Yardbirds or the Animals, I won't find it on the "classic rock" stations anymore. They'll play the Doors, Jimi Hendrix, like...two songs...by Jethro Tull. But that's it.
Crosseyed Mary - Jethro Tull
Living in the Past - Jethro Tull
Whaler - Montrose
Stranglehold - Ted Nugent
Achilles Last Stand - Led Zeppelin
all 24 minutes of Echoes - Pink Floyd
Battle of Evermore - Led Zeppelin
New Kid in Town - Eagles
I Can't Tell You Why - Eagles
That's All - Genesis
Peace Frog / Blue Sunday - The Doors
I'm Eighteen - Alice Cooper
Jet - Wings
Let 'Em In - Wings
The Visit - The Cyrkle
Starless - King Crimson
Easy Money - King Crimson
From the Beginning - ELP
Cowgirl in the Sand - Neil Young
Down by the River - Neil Young
Wooden Ships - CSN, Jefferson Airplane
"Captain Jack" instead of "Piano Man" by Billy Joel
"The Rover" instead of "Stairway" by Led Zep
"Gimme Shelter" instead of "Satisfaction" by the Stones
"In My Room" or"God Only Knows" instead of "Good Vibrations" or "California Girls" by the Beach Boys
ANYTHING by Mott the Hoople (The most underrated British-invasion era band ever!)
"Tuesday's Gone" instead of "Freebird" by Lynyrd Skynyrd (Jeez, when I think how many times I will have heard "Freebird" by the time I die!)
"Brothers in Arms" instead of "Sultans of Swing" by Dire Straits
"Ol 55" instead of "Take it Easy" by The Eagles
"Around the Dial" or "Rock 'n' Roll Fantasy" instead of "Lola" by The Kinks
