How about this "evergreen," "'Deed I Do"? Penned in the 1920's, it was covered here by Peggy Lee in 1947. Less than a decade earlier, before she hit the "big time," she was a bandmate of my father's in a small regional jazz band.

Fast forward to 2007, when this tune was covered again by then 13-year old Canadian jazz phenom Nikki Yanofsky. As my Dad would have said, "Hey, that chick can SWING."
