The greatest "rock" band of all time is The Fall, so I picked "other."

Out of what you listed, I'd go with The Beatles, then CCR. I would have included The Kinks in the poll as well!

Wow, no Rush or Pink Floyd? I know, I know, 'other'. LOL They're not my favorite--in fact I'm not really a fan of either-- but I think they're the two best rock bands of all time. And Pink Floyd are just sheer musical genius.

Just based on sheer body of work, The Rolling Stones. Buy their compilation album, Forty Licks, and you'll realize how much great, great stuff they did.

Yeah. Lots of good bands. Not nuff room for all of them. Pink Floyd I just forgot because, while they are good, they did not put out too much material. But Dark Side is a necessity for any collection! I have it on both album and CD. I also could have put Lynyrd Skynyrd, Kansas, The Steve Miller Band but I just went with what came to mind

My favourite LP of the Stones is still Goats Head Soup. And YES they were among the best if not THE best.

Heck, if you're going to throw NickelBack into the mix, why not just throw in The Cowsills or Gary Puckett and the Union Gap?

I put them there because I feel too many people bash this band. They are a very talented band in my view and, while, no, I really do NOT think they share company with the Stones or Zepplin YET they may still become one of the greats.
