Default Texas Country/Red Dirt/Americana/Outlaw

I'm trying to put together the ultimate real country CD together to sit out by the fire and drink beer to. None of that corporate nashville trash that they call music back east. Anyway here's a list of some of the tracks I've got so far and I'm open to more suggestions. I guess this thread could be designated as the official anti-nashville establishment thread too. anyway so far I've got

1. Whiskey River (Willy Nelson)
2. Unwound (George Strait)
3. The Fireman (George Strait)
4. You Had Me at My Best (Wade Bowen)
5. The Party's Not Over (Jason Boland & and the Stragglers)
6. Pearl Snaps (Jason Boland & and the Stragglers)
7. Dancehall Dreamer (Pat Green)
8. My Hometown (Charlie Robison)
9. Bar Light (Charlie Robison)
10. The Road Goes on Forever (Robert Earl Keen)
11. Corpus Christi Bay (Robert Earl Keen)
12. Coperhead Road (Steve Earle)

I'll just name artists...songs are too subjective:

James McMurtry
Iris Dement
Lyle Lovett
Townes van Zandt
Eliza Gilkyson
Springsteen (specifically the Nebraska and Ghost of Tom Joad albums)
Steve Earle
Greg Brown
Emmylou Harris

There's a great recording from earlier this year by Kasey Chambers and Shane Nicholson called "Rattlin' Bones" in the classic male/female duet style. These two are from Australia and are more capable of making a great rootsy country record than many here in the States. Good stuff:

I endorse the reason for this thread!

One band I don't see mentioned above is Asleep At The Wheel. I can't imagine a mix of Texas country tunes without 'em. Here's a few of my favorites:

Miles And Miles Of Texas
Ain't Nobody Here But Us Chickens
Route 66

Actually anything they play is good to my ears. God luck with that mix Mr. Patriot...

Soung of the South, Mountain Music (Alabama)
Uneasy Rider (Charlie Daniels)

Dont know what you would consider it, but Ballad of Curtis Loew is always a classic.
