"Vincent" by Don Mc Lean and "how it feels to be free" by Nina Simone and "Jolene" by Dolly Parton. All are so wonderful.

Ride on by AC/DC.

[i]It's another lonely evening
And another lonely town
But I ain't too young to worry
And I ain't too old to cry
When a woman gets me down

My vote goes to "Black Peter" by the Grateful Dead. This might be the saddest song I've ever heard, especially to hear Jerry Garcia sing it.

[i]All of my friends come to see me last night
I was laying in my bed and dying
...

Just want to have a little peace to die
and a friend or two I love at hand

And the Band Played Waltzing Matilda: eric Bogle

When I was a young man I carried me pack
And I lived the free life of the rover
From the Murray's green basin to the dusty outback
I waltzed my Matilda all over
Then in 1915 my country said: Son,
It's time to stop rambling, there's work to be done
So they gave me a tin hat and they gave me a gun
And they sent me away to the war

Vern Gosdin - "Chiseled in Stone"

You ran crying to the bedroom I ran off to the bar
Another peace of heaven gone to hell
The words we spoke in anger just tore my world apart
And I sat there feeling sorry for myself
