Music will always be timeless and I think that is great.
It's why we are all here now doing this. Every since time humans have been using music for celebrations and it will continue this way. Music has a great impact on us all..... Lets give it up for music.

Some of those are very generational......
Nirvana? They really don't fit. One album does not make a timeless. I didn't like it then, and still don't like em. Now if it was the original Nirvana, 1967 UK Band, who did the Story Of Simon Simopath & All of Us, those Albums far exceed what the American band did .
Even Hendrix, might be pushing it a bit, since only 4 albums while he was alive, everything else would not of seen the light of day, if he had not passed.
To me a Timeless band, has to both attract new audiences to their old work, yet holding on to old audiences to their latest work (if the group still exists). Just doing "Greatest Hits" tours don't cut it if they are still around to me.
Simon and Garfunkel
Crosby Stills and Nash
Neil Young
James Brown
Wilson Pickett
Diana Ross/Supremes
Beatles
Elton John
Creedence Clearwater Revival
Neil Diamond
James Taylor
Kristofferson
Rita Coolidge
The Eagles
Jim Croce
Charlie Daniels
Willie
Dionne Warwick
Springsteen
Barbra
I love Nirvana.. Nevermind and In Utero were great. Not only could you argue that they revolutionized popular culture.. but they are consistantly recognized as major contributers to modern music. Good choice!
