...steps out from the portal onto stadium
grounds... electricity fills the air... pounding
drums match heartbeat... crowds surround...
hushed murmurs ... lights flash...
...focus moves to screen... squeezes Jim's
hand... excited look up into his face, holding
tight to Idol's gift Liberian Girl and flag
of hope...
...joy zooms like fireworks!!! my fanatical
scream joins thousands of others as we s
tart run toward the stage.... Jim laughs
and laughs...
...excited eyes look up at Jim.... what do
you think about us having a 4th of July
party? ...bursting smile...
Apryl you are so exciting! I'll have to hide us inside myself today
since I'll be with relatives "away" from civilization! The worse part
is being away from you and us holding hands and inspiring each
other! :trying hard not to be sad or a downer today:
I couldn't get to a computer yesterday
because relatives "surprise" me with an all day outing, like today
and tomorrow too! :I wanna stay hereeeeeeee! Maaaannnnnn:
I think a party is so kewl hahahahaha! Since I listen to a lot of Metal
and you Apryl have our other music together, I'll contribute a
Metal song that sound classical, and fits a symphonic sub-genre.
This way you can listen to the music and imagine us doing some
really incredible awesome thing like in a movie.
I'm missing you, MMC and eveybody already. The RV that's been
rented is getting packed-up which is why I have time to post.
Symphony X – Oculus ex Inferni (symphonic metal - american)
Thank you Ms. Rare for your idea about National Parks! I can't wait
til I get personal time again! Thanks MSR for the song Bro! I'm
glad I can count on you in my corner.
Have a great holiday People!
Peace all you Lovers!
Wow, what a pick! Didn't know if you knew the true history of Nightbird or not. Actually, it has been a personal favorite I rarely talk about given the very detailed and deep meaning it has for Stevie Nicks and what it personally means to me.
Nightboard has elements of extending "On The Edge of Seventeen," but I won't post that here as I don't like the vids I saw.
Robin Anderson was Stevie's best friend. Robin died of leukemia. Much of both Nightbird and "The Edge of Seventeen," were written about were when people die and letting go of the spirit....... ("Just like the white winged dove...." - The Edge of Seventeen)
Thanks for your good wishes, recovering from a serious illness takes a lot of time and patience for everyone. and humor as well as great music! I wear earbuds often....... However, I do feel blessed knowing not everyone is able to take someone important to them home from a hospitalization.
For a little more Stevie live this year, along with Fleetwood Mac bandmates, John, Mick and Lindsey:
