You know that Babyface song? Last night I dug out the one CD of his that I have and haven't listened to in years, "Tender Lover," and it was a lot better than I remembered. All that stuff is a bit too polished, and doesn't stand up as well I don't think because of it. But "Let's Be Romantic", (found it but could not link it for some reason), is with 20 years of hindsight I think the best one on the album. Don't hear much from him lately, but the guy with his partner L.A. Reid was also one of the biggest record producers of this kind of music.
