Angry Rap using 80s songs!

I know this has been done in the past but im annoyed but the..
Recent rap songs that use 80s stuff.
One song uses Dead or Alive's"Right Round"(Flo Rida) and..
Another song uses Flock of Seagulls"I ran".
Please stop ruining my favorite decade of music.
Rant over!

How about P. Diddy's butchering of The Police's Every Breath You Take? Each time this comes on the radio I have to change the channel.

Your artist or whoever owns the masters gave Flo Rida the right to use their material- your gripe should be with Dead or Alive's people. People try to blame rap for this all the time when simply your favorite artist can "Just Say No"- at the end of the day this is a business so I doubt Flo Rida is using their material for free.

Tupac used a Steven Winwood song"Things will never change" or
Something like that.
Sampling part of a song i get,but raping the entire chorus of a song....
Then you have 16-23 olds who never heard the song thats being ripped..

I find it annoying too. One station my daughter listens too has a band using Phil Collin's song 'No reply at all' as a basis for their song. And another one used 'Africa' by Toto. I don't keep up with the music my daughter listens too but I asked her the other day if these groups/people who did this were so hard up for talent that they needed to use someone elses success for their own progress.

The great thing about it though: I got on the computer and found the song Africa because I had forgotten how much I liked it. So I guess ultimately the bands that remake or remix parts of these old songs provide free publicity for the original songs.

Bands like the Stones & Zepp took from blues and did it well.
Rappers just take a hook, etc to make a hit from another persons music.
Yeah,Someone is allowing this to happen so i dont know if the..
80's groups are desperate for money....
