Agreed on the Riddle recording. It does get me thinking about the "Mother Road". But there's another composition entitled "Get Your Kicks on Route 66", composed by the late Bobby Troup and sung by the late, great Nat King Cole.
Speaking of Route 66 reminds me of another song I hadn't thought of earlier, though I'm surprised I didn't think of it.
"Take it Easy" by the Eagles always reminds me of the Route 66 town of Winslow, Arizona. There's even a park there dedicated to "Standin' on the Corner."

One day, me and a friend were trying to figure out who was calling on the caller id and I mimic'd Luda and rapped "770....404..." referring to Georgia area codes..we started cracking up!
