Ok so I know this isn't strictly considered metal HOWEVER it was the very first song I learnt to headbang to. Plus it was on the clock radio this morning when I woke up AND the clip is filmed in the main drag of my home town back in the day AND it has Bon Scott (a god amongst men! RIP) AND there's bagpipes AND they'll be touring soon (WOOHOOO!! ) AND last night they were on 60 Minutes AND Angus said (exactly what I've been saying for a very long time) that if they'd not got started in Oz they'd never have got started, that the times being how they were here and the scene being as it was afforded them the opportunity to get a foot in AND he said as far as they're concerned they're an Aussie band! (I so wish that cheeky Welshman I know could have heard it STRAIGHT from Angus's mouth! )

SOOOO without further ado.......

If not for Acca Dacca I'd never have got into metal in the first place!
Feel free to sing the "other" lyrics!
"It's a long way to the shop if you wanna sausage roll"

The things you find! I was just looking up a web definition for tenet and one of the listings was

Strapping Young Lad was a Canadian extreme metal band formed by Devin Townsend in Vancouver, British Columbia in 1995. ...

Default Hydra Head part II

When the label began in Boston, it released a lot of music from bands in the Northeast. One of those was Cave In who later became a slick, radio-friendly band but in the beginning they were the epitome of "metallic hardcore".
Here is a song from that era...

Later, the label released music by the crushing, Melvins-worshipping, Big Business, who originally used only bass and drums. Later these guys actually joined The Melvins but that's another story. Here is one of their typically relentless performances...

If you know your metal then you are familiar with the name: Justin Broadrick. He played guitar on the first Napalm Death album and later formed Godflesh. He became a major player on Hydra Head records as a performer and producer. Here he is playing with his current band, Jesu
