From what I heard it was a pretty big deal. He made a WHOLE song dissing Compton and all the rappers from LA. And they got him back(Snoop Dogg in particular) with Dr. Dre on the song Dre Day.
Imo it was significant, but not to the likes of the seemingly long drawn-out drama ( whether real or hyped) between Bad Boy and Death Row. The allegations, the murders, Suge Knight, etc... A lot of questions unanswered to this day.
