Who are the most over-rated Bands to you?
I remember when Artic Monkeys Hit and how much praise they got...
I was let down when i finally got the CD it was ok but wasnt the..

U2, hands down.

While I like some U2 songs (for example the 'One' is too good for words) I still agree with lots of people who say that U2 is the most overrated band ever.
I do believe one of those 'South Park' series (a spoof on Bono) was pretty fair and true.

The White Stripes(the so called return of rock my ass), The Strokes, Kings of Leon, Nirvana, Green Day, Eazy E/ NWA, and yes i said it, The Rolling Stones....i dont need any motherf#@ker from spin magizine telling me whats good. Im really tired of TV, Radio, and dumbass magizines trying to tell me whats in or hip...and for the record Nirvana, and The Stones i dont totally hate i just think they are overated

Metallica - everything sounds like Master of Puppets. Take any of their songs and you can sing "master, master ..." and it works. This whole Mandatory Metallica thing is just too much and too overrated!

Moreover, I'm not a great devotee of U2 as you by far are, so I have no blinders as you no doubt have and I can see the situation as it is. U2 is goddamn too overrated because of some political issues you are for sure not aware of.

U2 's earlier stuff..classic stuff of the last 10 years not so much...I cant believe Rolling Stone gave the new CD 5 stars.I think Coldplay is pretty over-rated while i do like some of their stuff...
