I have never heard of The Sundays' cover of "Wild Horses" or X's cover of "Wild Thing", I also liked Fancy's version of "Wild Thing" alot

Two that come to mind :

YouTube - Joe Cocker - With A Little Help From My Friends

Anybody that can do a cover that was so good the original artists acknowledge it as the definitive version and never played it again must be doing something right. Way to go Joe.

YouTube - Jose Feliciano - Light My Fire

Just beautiful.

Default Lay Lady Lay

Lay Lady Lay by Magnet with Gemma Hayes. I can't listen to Dylan's version that long.

I can't find it out for public consumption. On "Happy Blue", Billy Squier redid a song called "River", it might have been Joan Baez with the original, not sure.

"I wish there was a river, I could skate away on..."
