Default The Official Rap/Hip-Hop Thread

A comprehensive thread has been requested, similar to the ones for 70's and 80's music. Let's see how this goes. There are a lot of threads that could be consolidated here.

Let's try to keep this one civil. If you don't like rap, that's fine but just try to keep the comments productive for the members who are into it.

So I'll start....

"Same As It Ever Was" by House of Pain , "Paul's Boutique" by Beastie Boys and "Black Sunday" by Cypress Hill are my all time favorites in the genre.

Better yet, I would kindly suggest rap detractors just steer clear of this thread altogether and kindly visit this thread if they're keen to vent on the subject: http://www.city-data.com/forum/music...ghts-here.html

Can't be accepted. The moderator has a rap bias

Always liked this group. They actually played on campus one afternoon outside in the mall area back in college.

They put on an awesome show.
