Than anyone? Mmm I don't know about that. She's from one of my favorite hang-outs, Homer, Alaska, so I feel a kinship with her there, but there are far too many powerful women in music with powerful voices (compared to her little girly squeeky voice, which I happen to like to some degree) that just kick living --- all over the place. Pat Benatar, being one of the best. But Jewel is okay. I like some of her stuff.

Which so-called "diva" today can hold a candle to the likes of Jewel, Whitney Houston, Madonna, Belinda Carlisle, (yes) Pat Benatar, Stevie Nicks....to name but a few. These ladies could actually sing and could reinvent themselves and set trends, not just follow trends.
