Some more "western-influenced" North African music.

This one capitalizes on the recent worldwide popularity of "kuduro", which perhaps is better referred to as "pseudo-kuduro" as it sounds nothing like the original Angolan sound. "Rai" is a genre of traditional North African pop music:

KUDURAÏ LE CLIP OFFICIEL DJ KLASSIK FEAT DOUKALI & RYES - YouTube

I absolutely adore this song. I don't know why it's not more popular, or available for online purchase in the U.S. It has that total Mediterranean sound, almost iconic.

Elissa feat. Cheb Mami - Halili Dunya (English Translation) - YouTube

This was on the first track of a CD I picked up while I was in Meknes, Morocco. I told the vendor I was into "musique electronique" or "techno".

New Moroccan rap. You can buy this song, in a mix of French and Darija (the Moroccan dialect of Arabic) on eMusic in the US for $0.49:

Hatim - A la marocaine Feat Sif Lssane H-Kayne & Ridfabuleux (Official HD) - YouTube

A collaboration with a very popular West African band, "Magic System". Since this track (the title refers to a city in Algeria), released in 2004, they have collaborated on several other occasions with North African singers.

113 - Gaou à Oran (feat. Mohamed Lamine & Magic System) - Officiel - YouTube

A patriotic song ("bled" is a word in the regional Arabic dialect for "country") set to an old Algerian folktune. You can also buy this one at your choice of American online music store.

Another multicultural dance song with references to Dora the Explorer (a collaboration between two West African artists and Mohammed Lamine):
