So there was this song that I heard back in the early 2000-?'s maybe, I never caught the name, I heard it on the radio. I believe the lead ( not sure if it was a group) was a white male, it was kind of a mix btwn rapping and rock type ballad? with a female who would come in and sing some part of it. I can't really remember the lyrics but it had something to do with the lady leaving home or being gone and not really telling the guy why or something. Maybe the guy was saying it would be ok, he would be ok? Or maybe it was the other way around with the guy not being home.

This was out just after or around the time Eminem did his song featuring Dido. At first I kind of thought it was Evanescence, but it was softer than anything I have every heard them do.

I no its not a lot to go on but I was hoping some music buff might know what I'm trying to describle here. They, or he might be a 1 hit wonder b/c I probably would have remembered who it was if they had more hits, thought I'm not even sure this song made it to a "hit" status.

Thanks

Too bad you don't know any of the lyrics, but anyway, could this be it?

YouTube - Jennifer Lopez featuring LL Cool J - All I Have

or this....

anything similar to the three I posted?

No, it was done like Stan, from Eminem with Dido coming in to do chorus something like that. I'm pretty sure it was a white guy, like soft rock but with a rap feel.

It is soo annyoing, I can't remember the lyrics, but I KNOW that I really liked the song, AND I CAN'T STOP THINKING ABOUT IT

i posted to fast, the seether vid is most like it as far as I can remember with the guy singing and then a female comes in, and it is kind of slow like that type of rhythm.

Think Linkin Park but softer.

Is it Fort Minor "Where'd You Go?"

YouTube - Final Fantasy X - Where'd You Go

It's Fort Minor (is one of the dudes from Linkin Park) featuring jonah Matranga and Holly Brock

I was thinking it might be the Fort Minor song, but when you mentioned "around the time Eminem's 'Stan' came out", I was thinking a song from about '03. "Where'd you go" was 2007 I believe.

Anyway, happy you found it.
