I'm gonna have to pipe in with Depeche Mode. Not that they're horrible or anything; I just don't get the devotion they inspire. They were a fluffy '80s pop band, not that deep. As long as I've got my toe wet I might as well stomp my foot in and say the Cure and Souixsie and the Banshees were barely a cut above Depeche Mode level, but they're taken sooooo seriously too. Is it because they wore dark mascara?

Madonna - I liked Borderline when it came out - but really stop performing. Was it the half-time recently at the Superbowl - I couldn't stand to see her performance. I felt a little embarrassed for her.
