Karen Carpenter. She had such a beautiful voice. There is a good bio on her. It's a made for TV movie titled "The Karen Carpenter Story."
I can't find a VHS or DVD of it. I guess they have not made one. The singing is all hers and the actress who portrays her is so totally perfect in the role.
Can you imagine a duo with Karen Carpenter and Freddie Mercury?
We lost Karen Carpenter way too soon. She was a surprisingly good drummer in her day, in addition to her wonderful voice. I've actually seen her do a solo, and it was very impressive.
My first thought was to Jimi Hendrix. I was devastated.
The others I still miss include John Lennon, Minnie Ripperton, Janis Joplin and (I can't believe no one has mentioned him yet) Bob Marley.
