Went to a discount/seconds clothes store, and they had a section of CD's DVD's that were leftovers from a truck stop display.

Great Honky-Tonk and Truckin' tunes

At $2.99 I couldn't pass it up. Bought a few of them

Dave Dudley, Red Sovine some real classic stuff from the 50's 60's

Little Feat had a nice take on the concept (well at least it seemed fitting back in the day.) If you want to skip past the audience excitement, go about one minute in.

"Give me 40 acres and I'll turn this rig around...it's the easiest way that I've found."

I can't remember if George Thorogood covered 6 Days on the Road or not, but I have heard a country cover of it that's pretty dang good. Happen to have gotten lucky and found the original on CD at a bargain price, 20 great country hits for $3.99 or thereabouts.

How about White Knight by Cledus Maggard and Convoy by C.W. McCall? Might as well mention Eastbound and Down from the Smokey & the Bandit movie. l like the music that came out when Citizens' Band was the craze (late 70s). Cledus Maggard and the Citizens Band (!) made a hilarious album back then.
