Saw him yesterday in San Jose. His 25 yr anniversary tour of the Acropolis concert. What a performance! At 63 he can put on a show like no other!
I had never seen him live. Have seen concerts, videos, have heard a great deal of his music but this was more of a piece of nostalgia from back then when I first heard of him and his Acropolis concert. He played pretty much everything from that night.
Personally I think he's getting ready to retire, so going out on a high. There's only so long he can keep up the demands of tours, concerts, travel etc... Maybe he'll do one more tour but I'd imagine he'd be done after that. So to me, this was a bit of a once in a lifetime experience. And yes, it was simply beautiful.

Does he still have long hair? He seems like a truly nice person

Can't see that name without Linda Evans popping into my mind.

Is he still biting his lip and flipping his hair? I think those things were more popular with his largely female fan base than anything else. I guess he's now a little long in the tooth for that.

Regardless, glad you had a good time! It's hard to beat a live concert.

Yup, still long hair, moustache is back. He had shaved it some time ago but it's on now.

To be honest, what he wears and how he looks, if I had kids I'd keep them FAR FAAAAAR away!

He's clearly older, age shows, nowhere near as fit as he used to be. Slower, of course, but still a genius of music.

Saw him in Ft. Myers years back. There is nothing like a live symphony, and Yanni as the composer.
The concert was astounding. Don't care what he looks lie, the music is timeless.

I remember seeing him in Las Vegas when he did the "Voices" tour. That show was nothing short of phenomenal. I have seen other concerts of his and was always amazed at the quality of performers he plays with. Plus I love how he's always giving credit to them and gives them their "chance in the spotlight" during a performance.
