it's wrong to call all music of today trash because the blindspot is a lot of music from before can be construed as too primitive or degenerate also. even the artists and music on this page alone has a rather vague, dark and depressing undercurrent to the music compared to today. some people cannot understand an alternate perspective.
remember, it's all about your personal taste AND besides you are not in the mood for the same type of music/style all the time unless you are a bore.

Primitive?? Degenerate?? When all you hear today are artist talking about taking some their clothes off or shootin' somebody??
Its just an opinion, I happen to like all 3 songs that you posted, I found none of them depressing. A lot of people don't like 60's/70's/80's R&B, a lot of people don't like Contemporary R&B, some people don't like 90's R&B. I guess it depends on when you're born and what you grew up/growing up listening to. I was born in '92 so naturally I'm gonna gravitate towards 90's/00's R&B but I still enjoy some 60's-80's R&B. I'm an "R&B-Head" so I really like all eras of R&B, I really want to thank everyone who posted in this thread because I heard some songs that I haven't heard in a while and some songs that I've never heard before that I really like.
To me this song (a 2008 song) is like a hybrid of Contemporary R&B and Old School R&B:
