I'm not sure about the laws now, but even if you read the copyright info on a DVD the infringement is that you cannot show it to a group of people and charge money for them to see or hear it....that includes solicitng advertising to show it.
My knowledge on this is a bit rusty so someone else may know better or just type 'copyright infringement' in your browser and I'm sure you'll find what you are looking for.

I think just sharing the music *can* be prosecuted...whether they would do it to a church...
