I have never even heard of 4 of the 10 on this list and could not name a single song from any of these artists other than fiddy cent. Then again, I'm white and middle-aged, and haven't found MTV to be a relevant source of music in about, oh... 20 years. True talent hangs out on VH-1 as far as I'm concerned.

I did enjoy the likes of Run DMC, NWA, and RBL Posse in my younger years. I can't keep up w/ the kids today. Gosh Damn I'm old!

In the game right now? Eminem is better than half of that list lyrically, imo. Raekwon and Jay-Z belong there. They could have come up with a better list.

notice they said hottest though. hot does not = best hot

"popular right now" would be the best name for that list.

but Em had a pretty popular cd this year and it actually went platinum. I'm not really an Em fan but i think he should be on there.
