Some more: Newsboys, Relient K, DC Talk, Jars of Clay...
I think with your secular tastes, Hawk Nelson and Audio Adrenaline might be your best bets to try first. You can listen to samples of the music on Amazon (dot com), before you buy.

Thanks for the idea about sampling on amazon jDavid and the groups you and LuLu recommended to me as i checked out an CD by each one on amazon.
I sampled these CD's.....
Casting Crowns- Casting Crowns
Tree63-Answer to the Question
Kutless- Strong Tower
Audio Adrenaline-Audios Greatest Hits
Hawk Nelson-Smile its the end of the World
Although i didn't check out every CD the ones i listen to were too weak for my style. I remember back when i lived in jacksonville, fla in 1990-1995 there was a great christian rock station that played all types of Christian music but on friday/saturday nite they played hard rock Christian music and the groups sounded like Dokken, AC/DC, Guns and Roses etc.. and i was like wow...i didn't know Christians could rock like that and also sing about jesus. I wish i could remember those groups as the only one i remembered was ''White Cross''. I can also add ''Stryper'' to the list that i remembered.
Thanks again jDavid and LuLu for you imput.....

I dunno how badass they are, but Jars of Clay are fabulous. The music is good, and they're thought-provoking without being preachy.

Try RED, Overflow, 1000 foot Crutch, PoD. That might be a good start. Let me know what you think of those. Red is pretty new and I'm impressed...some of it's a little too hardcore for my taste....but most of it's very good.

I can think of a few that some people would never know were Christian. The band RED for one. I didn't know they were till i went looking for the CD couldn't find it any of the rock sections soo. and Falling UP is also pretty good. You can go to any music site (fye, amazon) and listen to samples of any of them. I heard them both on Launch-cast on yahoo music!

Go to myspace.com and in the music search look up:
Seventh Day Slumber (may I suggest the song, Alive, first), also, War of Ages, Sleeping Giant, I'll get back to you with more if you like those let me know.
