Iron Maiden - Where Eagles Dare

It's snowing outside the rumbling sound
of engines roar in the night.
The mission is near the confident men
are waiting to drop from the sky.

The Blizzard goes on but still they must fly
No one should go where eagles dare.

I don't think these two I have to offer have been covered but on the subject of trains, planes, and automobiles I will add;

"Trains And Boats And Planes". Recorded by Dionne Warwick earlier in her career for Scepter records in the Spring of 1966. It was previously covered by Billy J. Kramer and the Dakotas the year before, who recorded it on Imperial, in the Summer of 1965. Warwick's version is my favorite. No youtube on Warwick, is one by Kramer/Dakotas, one by Burt Bacharach (who composed the song).

Sorry, no mention of cars

Cool Grand Funk Railroad

I remember this as being a fun thread to think about when it first started.

The song title has nothing to do with Planes, trains and automobiles, but I'm hoping the name of Grand Funk Railroad will allow a safe place to post "We're An American Band."

YouTube - Grand Funk Railroad - We're An American Band LIVE - 1974

Thanks,

MSR
