Shakin´ Stevens had a couple of hits in Sweden. He was number one with This Ole House which was a big hit in a Swedish version in the sixties.

Well I was born in '93, so have no connection with the 80s other than what my parents keep banging on about from to time.

They're big fans of David Byrne, and by coincidence I'm watching "Stop Making Sense" (the full DVD from '84), and I have to say Byrne is pretty good showman and singer.

And this song remains a favourite

It was 30 years ago this month that he was on the cover of Time. I remember it well because I was in training at an AFB that just got whacked by a hurricane today.

From the same year as the David Byrne article, 1986, "Let's Go", a never-posted Wang Chung follow-up to "Everyone Have Fun Tonight".

A never-posted Quiet Riot video!

"Stay With Me Tonight" [Official] is from QR's self-titled '88 album that featured Rough Cutt's Paul Shortino on lead vocals.

A never-posted Twisted Sister video!

The official video for "Be Chrool to your Scuel" (from 1985's Come Out and Play) also features Bobcat Goldthwaite, Alice Cooper, Luke Perry, and a cameo by the one-and-only Tom Savini...and, of course, zombies! MTV banned it — of course!
