In the early to mid 80s it was pop. In the mid to late 80s it was metal, and hairband.... from Metallica, to Megadeth, to Skid Row to Warrant (the late lead singer is from northeast Ohio). But I still wasn't above listening to poppy stuff from time to time. As the 90s came along, I started listening to hip hop a lot more. Now at 41 (almost 42) I welcome the sound of a large variety of 80s music. Of course growing up with it, and spending time as a DJ in my 20s and 30s, I developed a large library of music, as well as appreciation for all types of music and genres.
