Funny mix of R&B, Pop, and Jazz. It has that flow and power that modern music just doesn't have anymore.

Very 80s in so many ways... movie soundtrack, video montage, exotic location, lots of synthesizers, overproduced sound... all that's missing is Kenny Loggins. "Sweet Freedom", Michael McDonald, from Running Scared.

I remember that song. Overproduced? I think it sounded very good, still does actually Whatever they did differently in the 80's in terms of production, I much prefer the way music sounded back then.

"Overproduced " is not a derogatory term... Steely Dan and Toto are well-known for overproduction. Quincy Jones is known for his overproduction as well; it is use of the studio to create a rich, abundant sound that can't be duplicated on stage. Think "Thriller". I personally like that sound, it showcases the engineering talents as well as the musicians and singers.

This Seattle-based band opened for Van Halen on their Women and Children First tour. After that, they made this video for "Fantasy" (not the Aldo Nova song!), the first single from their self-titled album for EMI. It got some rotation on MTV, but they never hit the big time.
