Country wasn't too popular in the 1980s, but I think I might have liked it better than. I don't think these Grammy winning country songs have been done, as country isn't excessively popular here or associated to the 1980s, but these all appear to be 1980s songs when I looked them up. (I admit I thought some of these were from the 1970s)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NrBiCKkcB1w - It's a good example of a "story song" IMO. Oslin I think was one of the last female country singers to gain popularity while looking like a fairly ordinary country gal. Since then when a "new woman" breaks into country it seems like she's usually fairly attractive or glamorous looking. (No insult is meant to Oslin there)

I used to think the 80s were MUCH MORE PURE than i now know!!!!!!

I have recently discovered many 80s songs i loved ARE REMAKES of original songs from years back and it saddens me........... (I thought in the 80s ppl had thier own minds and didnt copy others work)

Mind you the 80s music IS VERY GOOD...... The 80s as a whole was quite an awesome decade

Long live the 80s!
